ITINERARY IN BRIEF

DAY 1: ARRIVE in SAIGON (D)

Welcome to Vietnam! Have a light city tour with the Reunification Palace, Post Office, Notre Dame Cathedra, China Town, Thien Hau pagoda and Binh Tay market. Overnight in Saigon.

DAY 2: SAIGON - TAYNINH - CUCHI TUNNELS - SAIGON (B/L)

Visit Tayninh, the centre of Caodaism, a local sect of Buddhism with the daily solemn ceremony at the temple. Stop at Cu Chi Tunnels, one of the few remaining monuments to the fierce Vietnam War. Dinner and overnight in Saigon.

DAY 3: SAIGON – DALAT (B/D)

Half-day free in Saigon before flight to Dalat, a local Alpine town with its French chalets and pine forests. Going around the city if time available.  Overnight in Dalat.

DAY 4: DALAT – NHA TRANG (B/L)

Visit Dalat including Summer Palace, Tuyen Lam Reservoir, Truc Lam temple, Dalat flower garden. Leaving for Nha Trang thru Picturesque” mountain pass. Overnight in Nha Trang.

DAY 5: NHA TRANG (B/L)

Morning city tour to Po Nagar Cham Tower and 19^th century-built Long Son Pagoda. Stop at a fishing village and relax in the beach. Overnight in Nha Trang.

DAY 6: AT LEISURE IN NHA TRANG (B)

Free at leisure for a full day. Recommended activities: snorkeling, diving, parachuting, sailing and sunbathing. Overnight in Nha Trang.

DAY 7: NHA TRANG – QUANG NGAI (B/L/D)

Land transfer by Highway 1 along the coastline with the ruins of Cham Nation, blue lagoons, odd-shaped rocks, farms of tasty fruits and historical sites from the American War. Overnight in Quang Ngai.

DAY 8: QUANG NGAI – MY LAI – MY SON - HOI AN (B/L/D)

Continue northward to Hoian ancient town with the first stop at memorable visit at Son My Memorial. Go on to My Son Sanctuary, the World Heritage with Cham nation’s Towers. Overnight in Hoi an..

DAY 9: HOI AN  (B/L)

Explore Hoi An – The World Heritage with visits to Japanese Bridge, Chinese Assembly Halls, ancient Trading Houses, pagodas and market. Take a boat trip to ceramic village toward Cua Dai beach. Overnight in Hoian.

Optional trip: Cycling in Hoian to Cua Dai.

DAY 10: HOI AN – HUE (B/L)

Leave Hoi An for Hue – the World Heritage with stopover at China beach, Marble mountain and “Ocean Cloudy” Pass. Afternoon take the city tour with the Royal Citadel, Forbidden city Royal museum. Overnight in Hue.

DAY 11: HUE – HANOI – TRAIN TO LAOCAI (B/D)

Boat trip on Perfume River to Thien Mu Pagoda, Tombs of King Minh Mang. Flight to Hanoi. Short city tour in Hanoi to the Temple of Literature, Ngoc Son temple, “Sword” lake. Enjoy a show of Water Puppetry. Night train to Sapa around 09.00pm. Overnight on the train.

DAY 12: LAO CAI - SAPA (B/L)

Explore the mountain landscape in Sapa with terraced paddy fields and villages of hill tribes such as Dzao, Hmong renown by the handicrafts made of wood, silver, embroidered fabrics and clothes. Overnight in Sapa.

DAY 13: SAPA – HILL TRIBAL MARKET – LAO CAI (B/L/D)

Enjoy a Sunday market in Bac Ha of hill tribal people of Hmong group. Visit a village nearby or take a boat trip on Chay River. Back to Lao Cai for night train to Hanoi. Overnight on the train.

DAY 14: HANOI – HALONG – OVERNIGHT ONBOARD (B/L/D)

Early arrival in Hanoi, enjoy the morning activities of Hanoian. Transfer to Halong – the World Heritage with stop at Bat Trang ceramic village. Cruising the bay to enjoy thousands rocks, islets and beaches. Dinner and overnight on the boat.

DAY 15: HALONG – HANOI (B/L)

Enjoy the sunrise over the islets and go on through rocks and fishing villages to be back to the wharf. Lunch en route to Hanoi. Free at leisure. Overnight in Hanoi.

DAY 16: HANOI DEPARTURE (B/-/-)

At your leisure until transfer to the airport to take the departure flight.
