ITINERARY IN BRIEF

DAY 1: ARRIVAL HANOI (D)

Welcome at Hanoi Airport and transfer to Hanoi. City tour inclusive of a cyclo tour in the Old Quarter, Ngoc Son temple, the Sword lake and Quan Thanh Temple. Evening enjoy a Water Puppetry show. Dinner and overnight Hanoi.

DAY 2: HANOI - HALONG (B/L/D)

Visit Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, House-on-stilts, One-Pillar Pagoda, Temple of Literature and the Fine Arts Museum. Lunch in Hanoi. Afternoon drive to Halong Bay for boat cruise with stop at Dong Trieu. Check in the boat. Dinner and overnight on board.

DAY 3: HALONG - HANOI (B/L)

Cruise Halong with stop to visit grottoes, swimming and kayakings. Seafood Lunch served on board. Afternoon back to Hanoi. Overnight in Hanoi.

DAY 4: HANOI - TAM COC - HOA LU – HANOI (B/L)

Drive south to Ninh Binh, have a boat trip in Tam Coc before cycling to Hoa Lua for Dinh and Le temples. Overnight in Hanoi.

DAY 5: HANOI - VIENTIANE (B/-/D)

Morning flight to Vientiane. Welcomed at Wattay Airport and visit Vientiane, inclusive of Wat Sisaket, Wat Prakeo, Wat Simuang, Pha That Luang stupa and Vientiane Patuxai Monument. Dinner and overnight Vientiane.

DAY 6: VIENTIANE - LUANG PRABANG (B/L)

Drive north to Luang Prabang. Lunch en route. Visit the most ancient Buddhist temples like Wat Xieng Thong, Wat Sen, Wat Visun and the night market. Overnight in Luang Prabang.

DAY 7: LUANG PRABANG (B/L)

Boat upstream on Mekong to visit Pak-Ou cave. Picnic lunch at a bamboo cottage by the river bank. Visit local rice-wine distillery and Ban Phanom weaving village. Overnight in Luang Prabang.

DAY 8: LUANG PRABANG ADVENTURES – ELEPHANT RIDING (B/L)

Head to an Elephant camp (15 km from town). Take a ride on elephants thru the forests and fields. Arrive at Tad Sae waterfall for relaxing. Return to Luang Prabang during sunset. Overnight in Luang Prabang. (in dry season Tad Sea waterfall will be changed by an alternative).

DAY 9: LUANG PRABANG DEPARTURE (B)

At leisure till transfer to the airport for departure.
