Domestic flights help connecting tourism destinations

Vietnam Airlines- reopens flights between Da Nang and Hai Phong
The flights between Da Nang and Hai Phong of Vietnam were reopened on right before the big Vietnamese travel occasion: Vietnam Reunification Day (April 30th) and Labor Day (May 1st). Passengers are to fly ATR72s on these flights which are planned on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday. Vietnam Airlines had to close flights between these 2 cities 10 years ago. Earlier, the Airlines also opened flights between Ho Chi Minh City and Hai Phong.
The air link with Haiphong was of paramount importance as many local tourists in Haiphong and visitors to this northern city wanted to travel to Danang to explore its tourist attractions and heritage sites in neighboring localities Quang Nam and Hue.

Vietnam Airlines will launch one weekly flight between Danang and Taipei in a fresh move in early June, to expand its international flight coverage, especially in Asia. The airline now has daily flights from HCMC and Hanoi to the Taiwanese city and vice versa.  Currently, Vietnam Airlines operates some 70 aircraft of different types for more than 300 daily flights on 79 routes to 20 domestic destinations and 26 international airports. The carrier plans 120 routes to 23 domestic locations and 45 international airports by 2020.

Air Mekong, a newly established private air carrier in Vietnam, launches the first flights between Ho Chi Minh City and Quy Nhon Beach City of Binh Dinh Province on June 1st 2011. Quy Nhon Beach City is getting more and more popular among the Vietnamese and foreign tourists who seek relaxing beach holidays. Quy Nhon is also a good stop to break the journey between the Central Highlands of Vietnam and the coastal provinces; or between Da Nang or Hoi An Old Town and Nha Trang Beach City.

The new flight route makes it more convenient for the tourists to travel between two cities.
Besides, Air Mekong also operates scheduled passenger flights from Phu quoc to secondary hubs at Noi Bai International Airport and Tan Son Nhat International Airport. The non - stop route between Hanoi to Phu Quoc is the longest domestic route offered. This new route helps reduce half of the flying time for the travelers who had to wait for the connecting time in Ho Chi Minh when travel from Hanoi to Phu Quoc. Air Mekong use the Bombadier CRJ 900 plane with the capacity of 90 seats, and the airfare is at around US$108.73. This seems to be good news to those want to discover the beauty of Phu Quoc- one of the most beautiful beaches in Vietnam with departure from Hanoi. It is also a destination linking for Vietnam tourism between two locations, one in the North and one in the South of Vietnam.

According to Jetstar Pacific, the airline is about to re-open flights between Hanoi and Nha Trang at the end of May 2011 after 9 suspending months. The airline plans to operate two flights per day to accommodate surging demands for travelers during the summer months, especially when the Nha Trang sea festival will be held in the first June 2011. Tickets for these flights have been opened since May 06th 2011 on the company's website.

With the closure of Hue Phu Bai Airport for maintenance, Jetstar Pacific had to suspend flights between Ho Chi Minh City and Hue. The re - opening of flights between Hanoi and Nha Trang is expected to help the airline better utilize the aircrafts..
