Hanoi celebrate the second International Puppetry Festival

From September 20 to September 30, the second International Puppetry Festival will be organized in Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam as one of the events to celebrate the millennium anniversary of Thang Long- Hanoi. It is estimated that the festival will attract more than 20 professional domestic and oversea puppetry troupes.
 
International Puppetry Festival is not only an opportunity for the Vietnamese artists to express their skillfulness, talent but also exchange their experiences with colleagues coming from other countries.

New tour of historic sites in Thang Long-Hanoi

Tourists visiting Hanoi will have chance to know more about Vietnamese Capital and its history with " Thang Long - Hanoi city tour - a journey through history". This tour is designed particularly to celebrate millennium anniversary of Thang Long- Hanoi organized in the first October 2010. Join this tour, visitors have chance to explore the life style of Hanoian in the past and nowadays with the significant cultural, human-made, traditional, architectural or social contribution to the capital throughout the history.

Beginning at the Royal citadel, go on to the ancient house at 87 Ma May street, tourists will have opportunity to discover the beauty and sacredness from two of the most typical temple in the old quarter - known as the tourist central in Hanoi. Tourist will go visit Bach Ma temple - the eastern defender of the former Thang Long citadel, and Voi Phuc temple - the western defender of the citadel and Hanoi’s old quarter and O Quan Chuong - the eastern gate of the citadel.

The city tour will also take the tourists to the statue of King Le, The Hanoi Opera house, the National Conventional Centre, the Hanoi Museum, My Dinh new urban area.
The tour is considered to be a good opportunity for the tourist gain more comprehensive insight about Hanoi. The tour hosted by Hanoi governmental office of tourism.


Valuable gift for whom visiting Vietnam

During the time Hanoi celebrate 1000th anniversary this October, tourist coming to Vietnam will have chance to receive many valuable gifts. A bronze plate with Hanoi sympols, a CD with a lot of song about Hanoi and a "Thang Long's 1000 years" pin.

Hanoi Party Secretary Pham Quang Nghi: "Giving gift to the delegates and guests during the great anniversary is very gracious and considerate". He added that these productions are made for tourists by independent companies which often offer many high quality products for big event and festival.

These gifts are for all the domestic and international tourists. Hanoi will also present provinces, large libraries and universities with a huge collection books about Thang Long's 1000 years and Hanoi.


Warsaw - Hanoi direct flight in Nov 2010

On August 18, LOT polish airlines announced that there will be a direct air route from Hanoi to Warsaw in mid- November 2010. Therefore, Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, flights from Hanoi will take off at 00:10 and arrive in Warsaw at 6:05(local time). Meanwhile, the flights departing from Warsaw at 22:40(local time) will arrive in Hanoi on 15:00 every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday.
 

Spokesperson of Lot Polish Airlines in Vietnam- Krzysztof Kolodziej said that Warsaw is an ideal stop-over for many flights from Hanoi to the European countries and contrariwise.
The airfare for two-way is from 380$, excluding value tax and additional charges, which is said to be half price cheaper than others airlines.

LOT airline owns a fleet of 55 planes that provides service to 60 places in Europe, the Middle East and North America and supposed to have an additional eight Boeing 787 Dreamliner in 2010. LOT Polish Airlines is well- known as one of the most long-standing carrier in the world and is the partner of Star Alliance. The attendance of LOT with new airway from Hanoi to Warsaw promise to open new choice for the passenger, tourist visiting Asia, and transiting to other countries.
