Tet - Lunar New Year coming with blooming flowers
 Tet- the Lunar New Year is coming. Asians are eagerly
preparing for a warm
holiday. Everybody
appears to be busier
than usual, trying
to finish all the
business before the
Tet festival.
In Vietnam, flowers,
decorated everywhere
makes the winter
seems to be cozier.
In the North, when
the spring comes and
hundreds of flowers
come into bloom, it
is time to buy
flowers and bonsai
to welcome the New
Year. The lunar New
Year is thought to
be not complete
without spring
flowers.
Hoang Hoa Tham is
known as one of the
busiest- streets in
Hanoi city before
the Lunar New Year,
with hundreds of
flower shops setting
up on the pavement.
Scent from rose,
lilies, cherry
blossoms, apricot
blossoms, water rain
and other spring
flowers keeps
passers-by from
moving.
Hoang Hoa Tham
Street is the place
to find Tet holiday
flowers, special
decoration for the
living room: a
kumquat tree, cherry
and apricot blossoms
with reasonable
prices. There are
also many trees and
creeper plants on
offer, including
bamboo trees and
jasmine shrubs and
vines…
In the South, many
buildings, hotels
are decorated
splendidly with
flashed, flowers…
In downtown Ho Chi
Minh City,
decorations go up on
Le Loi, Dong Khoi,
Le Duan streets and
Chi Lang Park in
District 1 during
the Tet festival.
Tet cake
(traditional sticky
rice cake) cooking
competition will be
organized across
twenty-four
districts of the
city, and
distribute10.000 Tet
cakes to children at
open houses and
shelters.
Moreover, a
15-minute fireworks
show, beginning at
the midnight, will
kick start the Lunar
New Year’s eve, 2nd
February.
Besides, hundred of
traditional
activities showing
the Vietnamese
culture from the
North to the South
will be operated.
