One visa- visiting all attractions in the Southeast Asia
 

Thing will be much easier for the traveler coming to visit South East Asia. The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) is planning to open the region for foreign tourists in the same way with Europe's unified visa system- Schengen which has streamlined travel.

Said by Eddy Krisneidi, an official of the ASEAN Secretariat, in its Tourism Strategic Plan, foreign tourists applying for one visa to one ASEAN member country could visit all others ones.

Based on that, tourists will soon be able to cruise the Mekong in Vietnam, surf in Bali, shop in Singapore and enjoy spicy street food in Thailand before crossing into Cambodia for ranging in Angkor Wat with a single tourist visa.

Southeast Asian countries are known as attractive places for traveling. ASEAN countries recorded more than 65 million foreign visitors’ arrivals in 2009. Top attractions consist of Vietnam, Malaysia, Thailand, and Singapore… Analysts said that one visa for all ASEAN member countries will help lure more tourists to the region.
