What
they said about us
After a tour
finished, we
will get the Testimonies and Feedbacks of our clients. However,
to make it most reliable, we believe that we should make it
different from the way our colleagues of other tour operators
are doing. Usually, the Testimony on the tour quality quoted in
the website just only "Mr. John Smidth, California" or so on,
and we or all of you think that it's easy to write
plenty of those. We would like to supply our incoming clients full
information from our real old guests, who had qualified our
services, with their names, jobs, email addresses, date of arrival
and so forth. New clients can contact us to get their e-mails to
ask for experience of their trips, or simply ask for their
comments of our help in Vietnam.
Threeland teams would like to express our warm thanks for
the clients who
approved us using their emails and email addresses as a reference
for incoming travelers of Threeland. For the personal reason,
we shouldn't show publicly email address of old clients here but please contact
us at
contact@threeland.com
to get theirs to share with his/her travel experience
in Vietnam.

Dr. Dieter Muller and Dr. , the
professors based in Vienna and Berlin, took our 15-days Grand
tours Vietnam in Nov 2004
Hello Miss Le Tu Anh!
We have all arrived well and tired in Austria and have meanwhile
already adapted to the conditions here with temperatures at the
moment around zero (centigrade)...
We have enjoyed our trip very much and we can say that the
organization was perfect. I.e. we were always picked up at the
time agreed and we did not have to care about anything as this
was all done by our guides.
We had of course this language problem with Tu which you however
solved with great flexibility. I must say here that we really
liked Tu very much as a person as he really was an
extremely nice fellow, always in good mood.
Our
other guide Tan in the south was obviously much more experienced
and showed much competence.
If there is anything we would suggest you to consider for the
future, it would be the meals.
We have already spoken about the fact, that the selected
restaurants - particularly evening - should have a nice ambience
(like the Trung... in Hanoi on Nov.9th). I am sure that in
coming years the number of restaurants with nice ambience will
increase a lot, so that it is easier for you to make selections.
With ambience we do mean for example (whenever possible): wooden
or bamboo chairs instead of plastic, tablecloth, napkins on the
table, some plants etc.
We visited some restaurants which fully met the "ambience"
requirement and I am sure that with growing tourism the
situation will improve.
The other thing about eating is the Vietnamese set menu. We
felt, that often we got the same dishes (even from lunch to
dinner it was sometimes the same). Our suggestion here could be:
less courses (for us it was ALWAYS too much to eat) but more
alternation from one meal to the other. If you get
Shrimps-Pork-Fish-Beef-Soup for nearly every meal than it is
obvious that it is difficult to serve something different at the
next meal. So maybe a seafood-pork-soup meal on one occasion and
then a fish-beef-soup (different soup!) on the next meal would
be better. Also a dessert not being "tropical fruit" was a
rarity. But there are other desserts as we experienced like
grilled pineapple (not just plain) or baked bananas or creme
caramel etc.
So if i try to summarize the food subject I would say: Less
courses more variety during the tour whenever possible.
For
the last evening in HCMC you obviously wanted to give us a
special treat with the dinner on the boat and we appreciated
this. However if you ask me, I would advise you to be careful
with this type of restaurants. It is a big difference if your
client is a group of 10 or more Japanese or Taiwanese or Koreans
or if your client is a small group (two, four or even six
people) from Europe. From my experience (and I worked as a tour
guide in Vienna many years ago) Europeans - and here
particularly if they are only a small group - prefer not to dine
within a crowd of hundred and more other people shouting and
singing...
A secluded nice little restaurant with nice ambience is always a
good choice and may even be cheaper than the dinner on the boat.
I must however emphasize that we do not complain about this, but
if you ask us what suggestions we would have, that is it.
Finally we would like to thank you and all at Threeland travel
for their efforts. If one day you need someone you can refer to
in Europe (if a potential client wants a reference address like
I asked you for one) you can always use my mail address.
Thank you again and all the best for the future
Kind regards / Dieter Mueller

Dear Miss Thi Quyen
Now we are back in Germany and
already 5 days at work and now I like to reply the journey in
Vietnam, the Hotels, travel service etc. to you.
After the first problems, to meet
our guide at the agreed time, I must say “we have had generally
a fine holiday” with some not so nice things but the most things
where nice so that we are satisfied with this tour. After you
have arranged by telephone the problem with the meeting date, I
felt much saver, because I have had the feeling that you will
care for us, if something happened. Thanks for that.
I only can say to friends in
Germany: to make a trip to Vietnam with Threeland travel and
especially with Ms. Vu Thi Quyen you will be in good hands, you
can book that holyday.
And now to that points, where I
made an agreement with Threeland travel.

Dear Mr Nguyen Van Huan
Thank's for a very good, interesting and, mostly, well organized
tour in Vietnam. The trip was better than we ever had
expected!!
We will recommend Threeland to our friends if they plan to visit
Vietnam. Our son has already decided that our next tour also
will be Vietnam. So maybe we will be back next year.
When we came back to Stockholm last Sunday the temperature was
-13C and 30 cm snow! We suggested to take the next flight back
to your country.
Best regards Jan-Olof Backman

hallo thuy
just a few
remarks after my great trip to your country.
as i chose
my own route and my hotels any criticism (or praise...) go to my
account:
- best hotel
(by far) the riverside in hoi an
- worst
hotel (by far) - rex in saigon (might be ok for old americans,
but don't send any europeans there...)
- kenh ga -
can be crossed of the list. brings nothing.
- weather
... i think around this time of year one should spend more time
in the south otherwise halong bay can hardly be seen through the
fog and rain (eben hue was really cold!)
- wildlife
and national parks - practically non existent! you should really
improve on that (hope there is still something to be saved...)
i have 2
close companies i am working with on a daily basis. end of the
month i just pay the bills without any controll. with one i have
been working for 18 years with the other for 27! never had a
dispute.
i am not
sure if you see what i mean, but after thinking about it for a
long time i decided to write it........
your great
country with these great people is going through a touristic
boom / explosion at the moment. this could easily last for
around 15 years.
after
travelling the world for 35 years i have learnt that such an
approach to business (mainly with tourists) ALWAYS backfires! it
would be terrible if in 20 years' time all the young people who
are studying tourism now are going to be out of a job.
again , i am
not sure if you see what i mean, but i just had to let it out.
anyway, i
would like to thank you once again for all your efforts and the
precision of planning my trip to your country!! a trip i
thoroughly enjoyed (after temp. got warmer....) and i am sure i
will be back (after seeing laos & myanmar...).
i have
posted today an envelope with photos to my great guide (and
friend) mr. ha, who did everything possible to make my trip
around hanoi as pleasant as possible. would be nice if you could
let me know when it arrives.
take care ,
com on and maybe i say xin chau again one day :-)

Dear
Ms Le Tu Anh
Thanks a lot for your information and help. The journey was at
all very good and we enjoyed it a lot! Your guides were good and
helpful and we have no motive to complain.
It is our fault that we haven't had the Visa. The embassy of
Cambodia in Berlin, also as Diethelm agency confirmed us that it
would be easy to get the Visa in Laos or Cambodia. This is
correct when travelling by air! That I didn't answer your e-mail
? I don't know because I sent these to my friends because I was
very busy at work! By the way we arrived in Phnom Penh and it
was a little bit adventurously.
In the main it was a good journey and you made your business
o.k.
Thanks a lot and perhaps next year we will visit Asia again.
I wish you all the best and good businesses!
Freundliche Grüsse / Best regards

Emre Ikziler, wa photographers,
with
his 8 counterparts, took our photographing tours in Vietnam in
Jan 2005. His photos were published in several magazines and
newspapers
Dear Nguyen Van Huan,
We just arrived yesterday and had to sleep about 20 hours!
I want to thank you for all of your kind efforts which provided
us a very good photographic journey. We haven't met a major
problem. All of the hotels, cars and drivers were OK. I want to
mention our guide in the north especially. Tung was really a
great performer. Our old friend in the group was a little bit
difficult man, and he had some problems for all of us. But Tung
has managed to solve all problems in a professional way. He
tried to understand us, and soon realized that we were not
ordinary (typical) tourists. I want you to tell all my best
regards to him. Everyone in the group liked him very much.
But I cannot make the same compliments to our guide in the
south. Do was a typical tourist guide. He tried to see us like
typical tourists, although we told him in many ways that we were
not. He did not tried to understand us, and simply we couldn't
communicate with him in a healthy way. All the time he tried to
show us the places in his mind, not the ones we wanted to see.
He simply couldn't do anything else. The most disgusting thing
he did was clearing away like a lightning just after dropping us
in front of the airport gate.
All in all, it was a very well organized trip and I want to
thank you and your company with all my heart. All of my friends
are really happy with the trip and with Threeland Travel. We had
one good guide and one not too good. That's not a big problem.
And I will recommend Threeland Travel to all my friends who are
willing to visit the region.
Thank you and accept my (and my wife's) best regards.
I hope to see you in another visit in a date which is not too
far.
Yours Faithfully
Emre Ikizler
